Do I live inside the corporation limit?
There are several outlying areas with a Sherrodsville address that are not located within the corporation limits and thereby adhere to different rules and regulations. If you are uncertain please email the Village for more details about your location.
Here is a list of streets that have one or more homes on them: Green, Bilmar, Keyes, Hazelton, Hill Drive, Mound, Elm, Spring, Linn, Gayle, Mill, Sherrod Avenue, City View Drive, North Church & South Church, 2nd Street, High Street, Sharp Drive, Monroe Drive, Bontrager, and Moore Street.
How can I be more informed about Village activites?
Council meetings are typcially held the 3rd Monday of every month at 7:30pm and all public is encouraged to attend. You can request to have the monthly minutes emailed to you, too. We have this website which is updated occassionally and we have a Facebook page.
How do I become a Council Person?
Every odd-numbered year, elections are held in November to elect the public body. Two one year, and then four persons the following cycle. You must have resided within the Village for at least one year and be a Carroll County registered voter. Each member serves a four-year term.
